Consumer Terms
Last updated: 11 June 2026.
These terms apply when you use SunStory or buy access to your consumer SunStory.
Who we are
SunStory is supplied, operated and supported by Cruth Labs Ltd, a company registered in Scotland with company number SC869947.
Your purchase is made through Onelink by Stripe, which acts as the merchant-of-record checkout and payment layer for your order. Cruth Labs Ltd remains responsible for the SunStory report itself, including access to the report, product support, model limitations, feedback, and help understanding or using the report.
For purchase support, email support@sunstory.co.uk.
What SunStory is
"SunStory" means the service we provide. "Your SunStory" means the home-specific sunlight experience created for the property you confirm before checkout.
SunStory uses available map, building, terrain, sun-position, date, time, and user-selected location information.
SunStory is intended to help you explore and understand likely sunlight conditions in a clear visual way. It is not a PDF, certificate, professional survey, valuation, planning report, right-to-light assessment, legal advice, regulated compliance product, professional property report, permanent export, or guarantee of sunlight.
Consumer offer
The consumer offer is one home-specific SunStory for one selected property.
We create your SunStory for the location you confirm before checkout. You should check the location preview before payment and make sure the selected property is the one you want.
Your SunStory is accessed through a shareable link for 30 days from payment. This offer does not create an account, subscription, renewal, or continuing service beyond that access period.
Other offers
Additional terms may apply to other offers where they are shown before checkout.
Payment and access
Checkout and payment are provided through Onelink by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
After payment, access is provided through a shareable link. The link is intended to remain active for 30 days from payment, subject to normal service availability and these terms.
Anyone with an active link may be able to view your SunStory.
Product boundaries
SunStory depends on available source data and modelling assumptions. Buildings, terrain, maps, dates, times, and selected locations may not perfectly reflect real-world conditions.
SunStory should not be your only basis for property, legal, planning, valuation, construction, purchase, sale, letting, lending, insurance, compliance, or professional decisions.
Immediate access and cancellation
SunStory is digital content.
By completing checkout and agreeing to these terms, you ask Cruth Labs Ltd to start creating and providing access to your SunStory immediately after payment. You acknowledge that, once supply of your SunStory begins, you may lose any change-of-mind right to cancel that would otherwise apply to that digital-content supply.
This does not affect your statutory rights if SunStory is faulty, not as described, not supplied, or if you otherwise have a legal remedy.
Refunds and payment status
Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
If your SunStory fails to open, is for the wrong home, looks clearly wrong, or is not useful because of a limitation we should have made clearer, contact SunStory support. We will review the issue fairly and, where appropriate, arrange a refund through Onelink by Stripe.
Access to a SunStory normally ends after a full refund.
If a payment is disputed, charged back, reversed, cancelled, or otherwise reported to us by Onelink by Stripe, your bank, card provider, or payment provider as no longer valid, we may suspend or end access to the related SunStory.
Acceptable use
You may use SunStory for personal, consumer purposes in relation to the selected property.
You must not misuse the service, attempt to interfere with it, copy, scrape, or reuse substantial parts of the service or its data, present it as a professional report, or use it in a way that is unlawful or misleading.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Scots law.
If you are a consumer, you may have rights under mandatory consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded by these terms. Subject to those rights, disputes relating to these terms or SunStory will be dealt with by the Scottish courts.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version is available on this page.
